Terms of service

These terms govern all services commissioned via roseforge.media from THE RED ROSE MEDIA LLC (“ROSEFORGE”).

Purchases are processed by Stripe as Merchant of Record (“Stripe Managed Payments”): Stripe is your contracting party for the purchase, invoice and tax remittance; ROSEFORGE performs the commissioned service. Stripe’s buyer terms apply in addition.

ROSEFORGE inspects and corrects manuscripts to the documented ROSEFORGE standard (published under “The standard”) and delivers, depending on the package: an inspection report, corrected final DOCX and PDF per language, and the Certificate of Editorial Quality.

ROSEFORGE reviews manuscripts against a documented standard of 88 rules in three categories. The certificate confirms that these defined checks were passed — it is not a promise of absolute freedom from errors; even the most rigorous editing cannot fully rule out residual flaws.

Correction (packages with editing): for each language you receive the clean final DOCX and the final PDF, and for the submitted manuscript additionally a DOCX in which every language and typographic correction is marked as a Word tracked change — you accept or reject each of these changes individually. Not marked as changes are the typesetting in book format (typeface, spacing, page breaks, footer, removal of surplus blank paragraphs), the word-for-word adoption of the imprint you specify at upload, and the removal of invisible control characters (such as zero-width characters), which may not remain in any delivered file; the inspection report states their number, where present. Apart from the imprint you specified, the wording remains unchanged by these steps. At upload you choose the editing style: "Your style stays" (spelling, grammar, punctuation, typography and consistency; word choice and sentence structure remain untouched) or "Style is refined" (additionally a careful smoothing of clearly weak passages; the voice of the work is preserved). Numbers, dates, names and facts are never changed.

Second edition (Bilingual package): the translation is a transcreation into the other language (German ↔ English). ROSEFORGE does not translate legal text itself: you provide the imprint of the second edition in its binding wording at upload.

What is owed is inspected, documented quality to a defined measure — not any particular commercial outcome (such as acceptance by publishers or agencies).

Content guarantee: The author’s substance is never touched — story, characters, statements and worldview remain untouched. ROSEFORGE works exclusively on language, style, consistency and format according to the target profile chosen and confirmed at upload; no unilateral reinterpretation takes place.

Your work remains entirely your property. All rights in the submitted work remain with the author. ROSEFORGE receives only the simple, non-transferable right to process the work in order to perform this order; that right ends when the work files are deleted.

The delivered files belong to you as well: you may use, publish, edit and exploit corrected editions, final DOCX, final PDF and report without restriction and without naming ROSEFORGE. To the extent that rights arise in the corrections, ROSEFORGE grants you all rights of use therein exclusively and without limitation in time or territory upon delivery.

ROSEFORGE does not publish or sell works. Works are not used to train AI models, nor as examples, references or for advertising, unless you expressly agree in writing.

Confidentiality: Submitted works are treated as strictly confidential and are never passed on or made accessible to third parties — except for the processors strictly required to perform the service as set out in the privacy policy (payment processing never sees work files; the AI service receives the complete text of the work encrypted, solely for the editing, translation and inspection of your order and without any training use — details in section 5 of the privacy policy). The duty of confidentiality continues after the contract ends.

Deletion: work files are stored encrypted and deleted automatically and completely 90 days after delivery. After delivery you can trigger immediate deletion yourself at any time on your order page. All other periods are set out in section 4 of the privacy policy. Please download your files in good time — no recovery is possible after deletion.

Submissions must be a DOCX file; covers as JPEG in original quality. The author warrants holding all necessary rights.

Decisions affecting the work’s substance (e.g. age/date conflicts, deliberately foreign-language terms) are made exclusively by the author via the approval steps provided. Without approval, no intervention is made at these points.

Works promoting ideologies of contempt for human dignity (including incitement to hatred, racism, antisemitism, glorification of violence or genocide, extremist propaganda, sexualization of minors) are not processed. Payments already made are refunded in that case; the manuscript is deleted.

The prices shown at the time of ordering apply (tiered by word count, taxes included; processed via Stripe). Processing begins upon receipt of payment.

Works above 150,000 words are quoted individually.

Delivery times are service targets from receipt of payment and full cooperation (e.g. answered approvals). If an author decision is delayed, the deadline extends accordingly.

The Certificate of Editorial Quality is issued only when all mandatory checks pass and is publicly verifiable via its certificate ID. It binds all delivered files by SHA-256 hash: for each language the final PDF, final DOCX and inspection report, and in packages with correction, where applicable, additionally the DOCX with all tracked changes (it is produced for the submitted manuscript in its language); the certificate PDF itself cannot contain its own checksum. The operator may revoke certificates upon subsequently discovered violations; revocation is visible in the register. The register entry remains after the work files are deleted and is removed on request (privacy policy section 9).

If a delivery deviates from the documented standard, it will be remedied. Refunds are processed by Stripe.

ROSEFORGE is liable for intent and gross negligence; for simple negligence only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Liability for data loss is limited to the recovery effort assuming proper data backups by the author.

The law of the State of Wyoming, USA applies. For consumers in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their state of residence remain unaffected.

Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder of the contract remains effective.
